Meet Mr. D., a veteran of Viet Nam, he recently came in, proud to be eleven months clean and sober. His lock was cut and bike stolen overnight. He told us that he uses his bicycle to obtain food and get to his doctor appointments. It is also the method that he uses to keep his diabetes in check. As he began to ride away, he said to us “as a veteran, it makes a big difference knowing someone cares. Thank you so much.”
