ESSENTIAL TRANSPORTATION

If you are an individual in need of a free bike or financial assistance, we are here to help you. To receive a granted bike, you must bring in a letter of advocacy from a case worker, pastor, school administrator or other sponsor stating your need for transportation. The letter must be printed on letterhead from the organization advocating for you. Bikes are granted based on inventory. You may be placed on a waitlist and we will contact you when your bike is ready to be picked up. Advocacy letters may be emailed beforehand to goodkarma@goodkarmabikes.org or you may bring them in person to our service area Tuesday-Sunday from 12-5pm.

FREE BIKES FOR CHILDREN

We encourage children who need a bike, to come get one. At Good Karma Bikes, children’s bikes are always free (up to 20″). For a child, a bike represents a sense of freedom and independence. Studies show increased physical activity prevents childhood obesity and diabetes. It also improves sleep, leading to better grades and ability to focus.

Please keep in mind, our free 20″ bikes tend to fit children between the ages of 3-8. Need a larger bike? We sell safe, reliable, refurbished bikes for the lowest prices around. There is a limit of one bike per child, and the child must be present to receive a bike. Free bikes are first come first serve, we cannot hold or reserve them. We are constantly restocking our inventory, so if you don’t find what you are looking for that day, come back the next week. To receive a free bike please come in to see us Wednesday-Sunday during our regular retail hours.

We do suggest a $20 donation to support the great work we do in the community- providing affordable transportation for those in need. If you are unable to donate we just ask that you pay it forward and do something nice for someone else.
