Thank you for your interest in our holiday bike drive. The mission of Good Karma Bikes is to transform lives through the medium of bicycles. Research has shown that transportation access is the single biggest factor in helping people avoid and recover from homelessness; it’s critical to holding down a job, getting to school, keeping service appointments, and many more aspects of daily life.

That being said, we automatically think about adults in recovery. Did you know that we also provide free bikes to children? For a low-income child, a bicycle represents freedom – a sense of joy and comfort in owning a bike. A bike for a child who has never had one and whose family can’t afford one is more than a gift; it’s a cause for hope and confidence; it will impact them for years to come.

We are happy to support The Kinship, Adoptive and Foster Parent Association (KAFPA) of Santa Clara County. For the remainder of 2021, we pledge to gift every refurbish-able children’s bike donated to a child in need. We have promised to donate the first 100 bikes to this amazing organization.

Maybe you don’t have a bike to donate but you would like to help. Consider donating $5 a month to help our friends in need. Your donations make everything possible – they enable our work. They need us and we need you. Please remember that each and every gift counts, regardless of the amount and is deeply appreciated.
